The 80D is a feature-rich camera that thrills enthusiasts across the spectrum.

The Canon 80D features a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and an upgraded DIGIC 6 image processor. The sensor and processor combination gives fast performance throughout the camera system, including the ability to shoot continuously at up to 7 fps or record Full HD 1080p video at 60 fps in the MP4 format.

It is capable of producing high-resolution imagery with notable clarity and minimal noise, as well as a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-16000, with an expandable ISO of 25600 to support working in low-light situations. While working from the optical view finder the 80D has a 45-point all cross-type auto-focus system, while the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system benefits working in live view and movie recording, providing smooth focusing.
The large 3.0" LCD touchscreen swivels allowing you to work from multiple camera angles. It has built in wi-fi so pairing mobile devices and sharing files is easy.

Some other features added are an anit-flicker function which compensates for flickering light sources. This helps provide consistent exposure and color levels and when shooting under artificial lights (think gymnasiums or arenas). The time lapse movie feature takes a series of photos at a specified time interval and writes them into a video file, HDR effects and creative filters are built into the 80D as well.
