The Sigma 150-600mm 5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens is a top quality telephoto zoom lens. This is the smaller, and more compact version of the Sigma 150-600.
Sigma is raising the bar on Nikon and Canon with this one. Note this is the "Contemporary" version of Sigma's 150-600mm lenses. The other is the "Sports" version.

Here are some of the features that make it special. Two FLD glass elements (performance equal to fluorite) enable it to produce incredibly sharp images through the entire zoom range and reduce chromatic abberation. The lens barrel features two switches, one that can lock the zoom at any of the eight demarcated focal lengths and one that is a manual focus override for even more control.
It also has a water/oil repellent coating on front and rear elements.

This is a fantastic lens for shooting sports, even though it is the contemporary version. It focuses fast and the super telephoto range works perfectly.
