Telephoto Zoom lenses for Nikon cameras
This
page includes Nikon zoom lenses with a focal length range greater than
90mm. A telephoto zoom lens is a great tool for capturing candid moments
when you can't phisically get close to your subject, and do so while
standing still. For protraits and close range action, a zoom up to
200mm will be ideal.
If you want to get close to midrange action or
capture wildlife you will want the longest elns you can get. These
long and super telephoto lenses go up to 600mm, and on a DX camera ill
be the equivalent of looking through a 900mm lens!
The largest aperture you will find on a telephoto zoom lens is f/2.8.
