This is the newest version of Nikon's 24-70 f/2.8, with the Vibration Reduction. You'll be EXTREMELY impressed with the speed and accuracy of the auto focus on this lens. The images this lens produces are amazingly sharp and clear throughout the focal range. At 24mm this lens is wide enough for full body shots and at 70 it is tight enough for gorgeous portraits, giving a beautiful, soft bokeh. It is also great for landscape work, and now with the VR, its even better in low light situations, allowing you to shoot hand held at slower shutter speeds. There is a switch so that you can choose between Normal and Active VR mode, or turn the VR off altogether. This is a 'go-to' lens for most photographers, and a must try in our opinion!
