This lens is very sharp, has a very useful zoom range, a wide aperture, fast focus, and it’s fairly compact and convenient. It’s great if you’re on the move and don’t want a lot of bulk. It has the SWM motor for fast and quite operation, plus it achieves high optical performance with it’s aspherical lenses and ED glass elements. You’ll see why this is a favorite. It delivers pro-quality results in a DX lens. Caution: This is a DX lens so it only works with Nikon digital cameras.
